How to validate Digital Signature

Validate Digital Signature on your Certificate


While opening a pdf file containing a digital signature using any pdf reader the digital signature may display a validity unknown or Signature not verified message in the PDF.
Digital signature created from self-signed certificate displays a question mark.

Digital Signature

This occurs when Digital Certificates and Digital Signatures associated with the PDF file have not yet been verified on the system.

Please follow the given below steps to verify that the digital certificates and digital signatures are from trusted sources:

Step1- Download Foxit PDF Reader by clicking here and install it, If you have any PDF reader already installed on your computer like(Adobe Acrobat) then you can continue to the next step.

Step2- Open the PDF file in the PDF reader.
Step3- Left Click on the Digital Signature field.
Step4- Click Signature Properties.

Step5- Click on Show Certificate.

Step6- In the open dialog box click on the Show certificate button.

Step7-  In the next dialog box click on Install certificate.

Step8- Click on the Next button and then the Finish button and after that click the OK button.
